People's Petition for Legislative Intervention on CPA

Senate requesting their immediate attention to the present
crisis rising in Southern Sudan. This is in response
to the violence perpetrated for the intent to railroad
ongoing plans to maintain the 2005 Comprehensive Peace
Agreement and upcoming elections. Please click

print off the letter to complete and mail to your respective
State Senator and State Congressman/woman. Your support
and participation will be greatly appreciated. If you
have an organization willing to support this petition,
please feel free to print off copies for each member
and ask them to also please sign and complete this petition
so that we are able to forward as many letters to our

At Chicago's
United Center, January 2006
The Sudanese
Community Association of Illinois (SCAI)
was formed in 2001 as a non-profit organization
with an aim to assist Sudanese refugees
who have come to settle in the state of Illinois.
Its
current members include about 150 Sudanese "Lost Boys"
resettled in the Chicagoland in 2001.
Over
400 Sudanese reside in Illinois, most of them living in
Chicago, Wheaton, and Rockford, IL.
